Geraldine Thomas
About Me I am a BACP-accredited psychotherapist, mindfulness teacher, and EMDR trauma therapist with over 40 years of personal practice in meditation, mindfulness, and yoga science. My lifelong journey has shaped a deep understanding of the human mind (psyche), the uniqueness of each person’s lived experience (life story), and our interconnection with the world around us (shared humanity).
Alongside my personal practice, I have over 16 years of professional experience as a consultant psychotherapist in both private practice and NHS settings, working with adults, children, and families. I also collaborate across sectors — including corporate, education (mainstream and SEN), community organisations, and charities.
My Approach I offer an integrative, whole-person approach to health, wellbeing, and personal growth. Drawing on both ancient wisdom and contemporary psychology, I help people to understand their own mind and to recognise stress, anxiety, depression, or trauma as natural responses to life’s challenges — not signs of being innately flawed, damaged, or broken. Even when we feel fragmented, we remain whole, and everything we experience in life can be worked with.
Specialist Areas I support people in navigating a wide range of challenges, including:
· Stress, anxiety, and depression
· ADHD, OCD, and over-thinking
· Procrastination and lack of focus
· Loss, bereavement, and life transitions
· Workplace burnout and organisational change
· Addiction and compulsive behaviours
· Trauma (single-event and complex) and PTSD
